Jottacloud frontend / fullstack developer

Do you want to work with cloud storage and take part in the team that challenges tech giants like Dropbox and Google?

We are constantly growing and are now looking for a new software developer to strengthen the team. The main focus of the position is to further develop Jottacloud's frontend apps, but it's also a big plus if you are interested in other parts of the stack such as backend and/or app development.

We launched a new and modern stack for the frontend apps earlier this year. The new stack is a mono-repo written in Typescript, React, Mobx, and Storybook that reuses components across all web applications. The goal of the new stack was performance, cohesive design, and increased quality – which is achieved, among others, through unit testing in Jest and end-to-end testing with Playwright. Most of the CI/CD is already in place, and everything is rolled out in prod with a few keystrokes - so you can focus on coding the next task.

All apps communicate via gRPC APIs with the backend, which consists of a variety of modules and microservices. The backend is mainly a Java and Golang environment, but here you will also encounter many other technologies, hundreds of databases, video and image processing, AI technologies in search and clustering, distributed file systems, and a proprietary cloud-based infrastructure using Kubernetes and Linux.

• Frontend: Typescript, React, gRPC, Mobx, Storybook, Jest, Playwright
• Backend: Java, Golang, Kafka, gRPC, Cassandra, MySQL, Elasticsearch
• Native apps in Kotlin (Android), Swift (iOS), Golang and Swift (Win) / C# (Mac)
• Environment: Kanban, GitLab, Kubernetes, Docker, Linux

We're looking for those who:

• Have 2+ year experience with frontend development in React, Typescript or Javascript
• Big plus if you have experience with fullstack, or motivation to do so
• A master´s or bachelor´s degree in computer science related degree
• Love coding and strive to keep yourself up to date with new technology and trends
• Keep focus on quality and feel proud to see your implementation in use
